My longest and most substantial mission to date: designing, building and maintaining IER’s Track&Trace solution for tracking goods and people, combining RFID, barcode, QR code, NFC and Lidar sensing across a wide range of physical setups — forklift-mounted readers, detection gates and tunnels, reading chambers, access control barriers, and full yard management.

As Senior Software Engineer / Lead Dev, I led a consolidation of the RFID product line — redefining its architecture and refactoring the codebase for maintainability — while shipping an entirely new application version with major new capabilities: diagnostics, configuration tooling, HTTP POST and FTP transfer, and inventory management. I also introduced continuous integration to the team’s workflow and customized deployments for each client’s environment, from Auchan and Carrefour warehouses to Renault plants and Chronopost logistics hubs.

This mission is also where AI-assisted development stopped being theoretical for me: Claude Code became part of my day-to-day toolchain on real production work, on top of the C# 8.0 / .NET Core 3.1 / Akka.NET stack.

Key contributions

  • Consolidated the RFID product line: redefined the architecture, refactored and optimized the codebase.
  • Implemented new actors and modules as the solution grew.
  • Delivered a full new version of the application.
  • Shipped new features: diagnostics, configuration, HTTP POST, FTP transfer, inventory.
  • Set up continuous integration processes for the team.
  • Customized and adapted the application for each client's setup: forklift-mounted readers, gates and detection tunnels, reading chambers, access control barriers, and yard management.
